Role Value Proposition:

The Customer Marketing Specialist will partner closely with internal customers in sales, colleagues across marketing and product teams, and external agency partners to deliver compelling communications that persuade customers to carry MetLife products for their employees. This candidate will work to enable sales teams to close more sales by telling powerful, differentiated MetLife stories that address customer needs, expand our storytelling approach to drive retention, and enhance our approach to the full customer experience to drive growth in core and voluntary products. This team member will be effective when utilizing the following key competencies: relationship building, ownership mindset with a service mentality, curiosity, attention to detail, and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

· Partner with Marketing and Sales colleagues to develop compelling communications that address differentiated MetLife solutions

· Act with urgency to shepherd projects through completion, using project management skills and systems (Workfront)

· Liaise with integrated agency teams to deliver on high-volume, fast-paced marketing needs

· Lead maintenance and organization of asset sharing platforms (HighSpot, SharePoint, OneDrive, Script/Tag database)

· Review sales communications for compliance with information updates, footnotes, and disclosures

· Participate in daily team “Sparks” sessions for in-house creative concepting, big ideas, tagline development, etc.

· Support the development and implementation of storytelling innovation opportunities

· Develop, evaluate and optimize opportunities to improve internal processes (briefing, scaling, tracking)

· Support Marketing colleagues on select strategic transformation programs

· Performs other related duties as needs arise

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

· 2-4+ years of general marketing experience – relevant experience in B2B/B2B2C Marketing preferred

· Excellent attention to detail and organization to ensure high-volume, fast-paced needs are met

· Commitment to high-quality communications designed to encourage positive decision-making with strong focus on influence, design, grammar, and brevity

· Flexibility to employ an ownership mindset with personal accountability for great work, while utilizing a service mindset in approach to internal customers

· Positive attitude with flexibility to adapt to changing needs and competing priorities

· Willingness to speak up in team meetings and discussions where participation benefits everyone

· Robust experience and expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, Word - experience with HighSpot/Workfront a plus

The salary range for applicants for this position is 71,600 - 82,500.
