Job Summary

As the SVP, Head of Data Enablement, you will lead the commercial and technical data strategy for the main regional line of businesses and corporate functions across MetLife, ensuring effective data management, analytics, and governance. The work will involve aligning data initiatives with commercial and technical goals, fostering data-driven-decision-making, and ensuring compliance with international regulations. This includes leveraging advanced data analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies to derive actionable insights that drive business growth. In partnership with business and corporate functional senior leaders, this role will guide the development and implementation of robust data infrastructure, while the commercial acumen would align these initiatives with revenue generating strategies. Balancing innovation with risk management and ensuring the ethical use of data will be crucial in this dynamic leadership position.

Responsibilities:

Through a team of senior Leaders that lead and execute the integrated plans, this role will:

  • Lead the design and implementation of tailored business strategies, aligning data initiatives with commercial goals, driving revenue growth, and optimizing business performance through data-driven insights.

  • Develop and oversee the delivery of the various data roadmaps integrated with each business and corporate function strategy.

  • Engage with customers to understand needs and requirements, then communicate those needs and requirements across DnA. With focus on which questions need answering to make the most appropriate decisions.

  • Envision new data solutions and identification of where existing solutions can be expanded or scaled to meet the growing needs of our customers and business partners.

  • Serve as "business to data" translator and orchestrator, ensuring the enterprise data roadmap is effectively implemented within each key line of business and corporate function to enable business outcomes.

  • Create and manage multi-year plan that corresponds to the execution of the various data roadmap. Portfolio and demand management responsibilities to ensure priorities are appropriately set and teams are engaged to deliver committed data and analytics capabilities.

  • Work directly with DnA leaders to prioritize the backlog and ensure design and delivery of innovative DnA solutions.

  • Establish baselines and build key performance measures to track progress against the data roadmaps, course correcting as necessary to achieve the outcomes desired.

  • Drive operational excellence and consistency, through the identification and enablement of opportunity areas that create efficiency, removing obstacles and/or creating improved processes and approaches to enhance the customer experience.

  • Lead the adoption and integration of cutting-edge data technologies, including AI, machine learning and data analytics, to enhance business intelligence, operational efficiency, and self-service.

  • Identify new and novel uses for data and analytics across supported lines of business to create/enable growth, process optimization, and customer insight.

  • Establish and oversee data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with international regulations and standards.

  • Implement effective risk management practices to safeguard sensitive data and ensure ethical and legal use of information across international operations and corporate functions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in data management, analytics, and emerging technologies, with the ability to make informed decisions.

  • Demonstrated ability to align data initiatives with commercial goals, driving revenue growth.

  • Experience and knowledge in DnA tools and strategies including but not limited to ML, modeling, data management and quality, governance, BI, and visualization are required.

  • In depth knowledge of international data protection laws and regulations ensuring the company’s adherence to legal requirements and ethical standards.

  • Experience working in an international context, understanding cultural nuances, and adapting data strategies to diverse markets.

  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholders across all levels of the organization and cultivate strong partnerships.

  • Thoughtful leadership skills and experience in translating greenfield ideas into productionized solutions.
