MetLife Data & Analytics organization is the team of experts in data and analytics who enable insight driven strategies and elevate customer experiences through sustainable data governance and scalable AI and analytics solutions. The team is center of excellence in data architecture, analysis, engineering, as well as advanced analytics and AI solutions at MetLife.

The Opportunity

As AI becomes more and more important in business functions, this position is responsible for driving ideation, development, implementation, and adoption of AI solutions across different LOBs. This is a great opportunity to drive AI embedded business transformation in MetLife and drive differentiation in the market. This role will collaborate closely with business, technology, operations, data management and data science functions to align on business benefits and end to end solution design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive awareness and adoption of advanced AI capabilities across diverse product lines and global regions.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, understand critical business priorities and challenges, and develop comprehensive business cases for AI integration, including clear articulation of business benefits. Align AI initiatives with strategic objectives to achieve business goals and influence decision-making in prioritizing AI features.

  • Lead AI solution design by gathering relevant input from business teams and defining a detailed approach with the data science team.

  • Partner with enterprise data architecture, platform team, and data team on end-to-end solution architecture design.

  • Apply advanced practices of data governance and ensure responsible and ethical AI deployment.

  • Continuously monitor and measure the impact and ROI of AI solutions, ensuring they drive significant business value.

Establish and manage close relationships with stakeholders, maintaining high credibility as the trusted AI advisor and go-to expert for AI-related topics.

Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI and the industry, bringing forward innovative insights to business and data teams.* Ensure AI scalability and reusability across different products and regions.

  • Conduct rigorous evaluations of AI vendors and drive thought leadership on AI development and best practices.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in AI product management and/or management consulting.

  • Proficient in AI and machine learning techniques/tools, with a strong emphasis on AI-related projects.

  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end AI solution architecture design.

  • Proven ability to enable business strategies through the delivery of AI use cases, showcasing advanced AI solutioning capabilities.

  • Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, structured problem-solving and storyboarding presentations.

  • Demonstrated attitude to thrive in a fast paced, technical environment. Proven experience with agile delivery models and iterative AI development processes.

  • Strong technical acumen and passionate outlook, combined with a strong sense of leadership in driving AI initiatives.

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline.

Preferred:

  • Consultative mindset with an empathetic approach to stakeholder engagement, focusing on motivation, needs, and aspirations.

  • Ability to conduct open-ended conversations and connect AI initiatives across the organization.

  • Proven experience in laser focused AI impact assessment, with the ability to demonstrate the "So what" of AI work and drive the documentation/operationalization of AI product outputs.

  • Collaborative approach to evaluating business impacts/values and effectively socializing AI advancements across the organization.

  • Strong track record in creating partnerships and building trusted relationships. Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve business objectives.

  • Customer centric focus, ensuring the creation of great customer experiences to achieve competitive advantage through AI innovation.
