The MetLife Global Brand & Marketing (GBM) team is a strategic, customer-focused marketing practice that is dedicated to driving business impact across the globe. This role sits in GBM’s Global Corporate Marketing team focused on supporting our MetLife Investment Management (MIM) and Retirement Income Solutions (RIS) marketing and business teams. This person is an essential team member that will collaborate with key stakeholders to create relevant, inspiring and educational social content that meets the needs of our Institutional Businesses’ audiences; define, analyze, engage, and retain audience segments; and help encourage followers to be active promoters of the MetLife brand.

This Social Media Institutional Businesses Lead will help drive planning, development, and execution of MIM and RIS content for owned social channels – both organic and paid. The ideal candidate will help the team understand how best to execute social media strategies and content in the context of an audience-centric strategy and customer journey, helping to drive ideas, messaging, an editorial calendar and content to attract and engage customers and prospects.

We are investing in a talented individual who is knowledgeable on best practices and trends in social media marketing and understands how to build a digital presence while actively growing our community interactions. This person will be an excellent social media community manager and writer.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage MetLife’s owned social channels for our Institutional (MIM and RIS) businesses –, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and potentially Tik Tok for test/learn opportunities

· Help shape and contribute to an evolved overall social strategy in partnership with corporate marketing function and business stakeholders

· Lead always-on organic and boosted/paid content across our Institutional Businesses, and work with specific activation leads to provide social media expertise and execution support for objective-focused agile teams/pods

· Lead social coordination and input meetings with Marketing Business Units and corporate stakeholders

· Maintain social editorial calendar within selected technology platform, which includes ongoing coordination with partners, inputting content, editing, publishing and reporting

· Develop, write and execute content according to social strategies. Strong writing that inspires customer engagement via social is a must

· Engage and contribute in relevant social discussions about MetLife, our competitors, and industry trends to better inform social content strategies

· Work with in-house and agency creative partners to develop appropriate content assets that align with business and digital goals

· Leverage AI tools to help with content generation

· Explore new ways to engage and reach target audience segments across owned social channels.

· Develop and distribute social metrics reporting on content performance across social channels, including social listening and referral traffic to MetLife websites, microsites

· Foster a healthy “one team” culture that values diversity and inclusion, where ideas can be expressed freely, and collaboration and communication are valued as critical to success

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

· 5-10 years of experience working in similar type of role, including writing and community management.

· Active and well-rounded personal presence on social media, with an understanding of individual social channels and best practices

· Prior experience managing social channels for B2B Corporate institutions is preferred

· Experience with editorial calendars and social-specific content creation

· Excellent communication skills and creative thinking capabilities, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions

· Social Listening experience

· Experience with paid social campaigns

· Experience in B2B social selling

· Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word

· Experience working in an Agile model

Preferred:

· Bonus experience and skills include Adobe Creative Suite, Sprinklr, Hearsay Solutions, WordPress, Salesforce

· BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience

The wage range for applicants for this position is $86200 to $114900. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
