Description and Requirements

Role Value Proposition:

Responsible for the successful reconciliation and data management of participant indicative data and the technical implementation for new Pension Risk Transfer (Closeout) sales. This includes data loading to various systems, providing support to the Operations Group on pricing issues, handling administrative requests, verbal/written participant communication and amendment pricing for existing closeout cases, also responsible for specific implementation tasks and milestones. Understand market environment and customer needs and develop solutions to best meet their needs and contributes to growth in Pension Closeout business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as relationship manager to the client on all aspects regarding Closeout Group Annuity Contract implementation.

  • Working independently, manage the implementation and client relationship for closeout sales to ensure that all aspects of the new contract implementation process are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Ability to successfully reconcile participant indicative data and develop expertise related to the technical aspects of employee benefits and pension contracts

  • Support Retirement & Income Solutions (RIS) initiatives and projects as needed through demonstrated knowledge of employee benefit and pension plans and systems used in their administration

  • Complete the data exchange section of implementation within appropriate time parameters, including testing of system load and reconciliation of payor and census files

  • Work to resolve any conflicts that could potentially put deadlines in jeopardy of not being met

  • Working autonomously, utilize product knowledge to perform complex technical implementation and data management/reconciliation tasks for new Pension Risk Transfer (Closeout) sales that includes:

  • Interpret contracts provisions

  • Review initial contract drafts to verify that MetLife systems are capable to support the provisions and suggest system enhancements as needed

  • Manage transition of contract administration to the appropriate associate after implementation of a new contract and serve as an ongoing resource (Subject Matter Expert) for administrative and customer-service issues

  • Provide effective end-to-end support for IT process improvements

  • Document potential improvements, develop recommendations for manager approval, coordinate with IT to document the business requirements, perform UAT and review test results

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in financial services industry with experience in sales, marketing, and/or client/relationship management

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, advanced in Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work autonomously, effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines appropriately and remain flexible

  • Project management skills including problem solving attention to detail, analytical thinking, and decisiveness.

  • Proven ability to manage highly complex projects with fast-moving deliverables.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Alteryx

  • Team leadership and team building skills

The wage range for applicants for this position is 81,500 to 137,400. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
