Description and Requirements
TITLE: Regional Market- Public Sector AE
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for increasing Regional Market sales
Develop and manage relationships with key influencers in the public sector
Engage and direct key MetLife personnel on public sector RFPs to deliver a winning proposal
Proactive targeting, creation, and communication of a block/large case win strategy
Creation and execution on a market/product specific win strategy
External partner identification, vetting, and ongoing ROI management
Internal partner coordination, negotiation, goal setting and communication
Engage in public sector thought leadership through conferences, lobbyists, industry forums, and with third parties with public sector practices
Help evolve the public sector sales paradigm by communicating unmet needs and trends that will drive strategy and product development
SUCCESS MEASURES
Increased public sector proposal activity
Reduced DTQs
Increased public sector sales revenue
EXPERIENCES AND KEY COMPETENCIES
Track record of effective sales planning and execution
Strong relationship development skills
Ability to manage through influence disparate internal and external partners
Knowledge of the unique needs of the public sector
Experience with gaining senior management commitment to strategy
GVWB product and operational knowledge a strong plus
REQUIREMENTS
5 + years of group insurance experience
HS Diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Life, Health, and Property and Casualty state licenses will be required after hire
The wage range for applicants for this position is a base of $90,000 annually. The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the sales incentive plan for your position.
