MetLife is seeking a Senior Project Lead II and financial analyst experienced in dealing with complex cross-functional or enterprise-wide projects and the ability to drive both effective and efficient outcomes. While working independently, the associate will drive these projects from original concept through final implementation, with ability to effectively communicate status to program stakeholders and leadership. This candidate is someone with strong critical thinking skills who can thrive in a fast-paced tech environment with a global presence across multiple lines of business.

Responsibilities include initiative level financial analysis, executive reporting, portfolio management, team engagement and support of Benefits Realization Practices for the organization. Candidates must possess strong IT and Project/Program Management skills along with PMP, PgMP, or CSM/SAFe certification. This individual should be well-versed in activities related to application development, infrastructure engineering, and platform modification.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manages medium to large scale projects and programs delivery leveraging Agile or Waterfall methodology, including but not limited to reporting, governance, financial management, risk management, execution, schedule management, and stakeholder communication.

· Leads project meetings and provides updates to leadership regarding project status and the application and implementation of technology.

· Analyze financial data related to technology projects and initiatives across multiple lines of business

· Provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance and support decision-making processes

· Communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at various levels of the organization

· Identifies resource needs, assembles project team, assigns individual responsibilities

· Drive operational excellence through understanding and alignment of key customer goals and business priorities:

· Project execution including the estimation and governance of expenses and resources

· Identifying and managing project risks, issues, dependencies

· Monitoring progress for all key project workstream deliverables and outcomes

· Creating and maintaining detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports

· Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.

· Leads and motivates non-direct report project team members across various functional areas

· Collaborates with partner organizations to ensure financial alignment with strategic objectives

· Monitors and evaluates financial metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement

· Prepares financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support financial planning and analysis activities

· Supports financial audits and compliance requirements related to technology initiatives

· Stays informed regarding industry trends and best practices to enhance financial analysis processes

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

· Proficient with office automation tools (MS Office suite of applications, email, Teams, etc.)

· Experience working with Project Portfolio Management and Planning tools – Clarity, Apptio One, Target Process

· Experience managing matrixed teams, internal as well as global offshore teams and/or 3rd party vendors

· Managing stakeholder expectations through excellent communication inclusive of written, verbal and listening.

· Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-resolution skills as well as risk management at the team and program level

· Strong executive presentation and entrepreneurial skills. Employs judgement, relationship management, customer orientation, learning agility, emotional intelligence, business acumen

Required:

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA a plus

· 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a technology or financial services environment

· PMP (or other PMI Certifications) and/or CSM/SAFe Agile certifications

· 8+ years IT relevant experience, especially for infrastructure project/programs

· 4-6+ years in a project or program management role

· Deep knowledge Program/Project Financial Management/Budgeting

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines

· Experience with financial systems and tools for data analysis and reporting

· Experience using data and metrics to communicate team performance, especially for Agile projects

· Commitment to relentless improvement

· Familiarity with application development, infrastructure engineering, and platform modification activities

· Proficient with Traditional SDLC and Agile project management methodologies
