MetLife Investment Management (MIM), is a leading global asset manager specializing in public fixed income, private debt and real estate investment solutions for institutional investors world-wide . We are currently seeking a highly motivated professional to join its growing team in a role that will focus primarily on RFP Project Management and Institutional Consultant Databases. RFPs and institutional databases are a critical component in successfully developing new business for MIM’s platform. The position is responsible for drafting and/or coordinating responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), consultant questionnaires and databases. This role requires the ability to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to create consistent and competitive responses that meets prospective client and consultant relationship demands. The position is also responsible for managing the proposal database (Qvidian). A broad knowledge and understanding of investment management, including trading, operations, investment instruments, management reporting and related data needs is essential for this position.
Serves as project manager for entire RFP process, which includes drafting responses, collaborating with key stakeholders across multiple departments and ensuring Legal/Compliance approval/sign-off
Partners with the Institutional Client Group team in identifying and qualifying potential RFP opportunities
Responds to all ad-hoc inquiries from both prospects and consultants which can include RFIs (Requests for Information), data requests and operational due diligence questionnaires
Manages the firm’s standard answer database (Qvidian)
Populates all MIM strategies on a quarterly basis to key consultant databases, including but not limited to eVestment, Wilshire Associates, Callan Associates, Mercer Consulting, Cambridge Associates, Morningstar, Informais, etc.
Ability to assist in preparing various forms of distribution materials, including formal pitchbook presentations and product factsheets
Product Knowledge: Stay abreast of new product developments in terms of structure, staffing, performance and competitive strengths.
Branding: Understand and uphold high editorial standards to express MIM’s voice with authority and consistency with the firm’s brand.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Prior experience drafting RFPs for private fixed income, real estate debt and real estate equity asset classes. In addition, prior experience drafting RFPs for public fixed income is preferred
Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
Prior experience working within institutional consultant databases and responding to tight deadlines
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work autonomously; effectively handle multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines appropriately
Experience with Qvidian and eVestment Analytics
3 plus years of relevant experience
Prior knowledge with Vermilion
