Working with the VP of Communications for MIM, the Communications Strategist will be the consummate utility player, embracing and exceling at all responsibilities to drive effective internal and external communications. No detail is too miniscule, no opportunity too overwhelming. You’ll be coached and supported every step of the way.
MIM is a leading global asset manager with approximately 800 employees across its home office in Whippany, N.J., other offices in the United States, and locations in Europe, Asia and Latin America. With $665 billion of total assets under management as of Sept. 20, 2021, MIM is one of the 50 largest asset managers in the world.
Write a variety of deliverables with clarity, crispness, and reader appeal – employee notes, internal news stories, video scripts, recommendation memos, news releases, media pitches and social media posts, to name a few.
Develop and deliver effective pitches to the news media.
Coordinate and collaborate closely with the Office of the Chief Investment Officer, HR, Marketing, and other key clients and partners.
Effectively deliver communications through a variety of channels using current and emerging communications technology.
Develop effective and visually sophisticated PowerPoint presentations.
Help track and organize a variety of communications deliverables and opportunities – editorial calendars, employee communication deliverables and cadences, news releases, speaking requests, media inquiries, and media coverage.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
3 years’ experience in a corporate communications setting.
Track record of producing a variety of communications deliverables.
Experience drafting communications plans/priorities that help achieve key objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Solid fundamentals on all aspects of writing and a passion to achieve excellence.
Able to balance competing priorities to produce high-quality, accurate work under tight deadlines.
